Building Immunity

To touch a little bit more on Nutrition, as I stated in my previous post, eating whole foods provides your body with the nutrients we need. A lot of these nutrients, will provide you with vitamin A,B,C,D,E

😰

You catch my drift lol and again if you’re like me, this is not always easy with a busy schedule. That’s the relevance of supplements.

A supplement can come in the form of powder, pill, beverages. It all depends on what brand you choose and the use. Getting everything you need is important but some are a little more important than others when it comes to immunity. The point is to supplement where there is a possible deficiency in our every day foods. If you’re unable to get all you need from whole foods, a multivitamin will suffice. One of my current favorites is seamoss, this is king of building immunity and it also provides many minerals the body needs.

Did you know that proper nutrition can also help with your mental health. Eating certain foods can boost your mood.

Let’s get back on track.

Having a strong immune system does the obvious. It can protect us from virus and if we’re getting other nutrients it can help with serious diseases like cancer. Let’s explore some ways of building immune health!

Sleep.

Something many take for granted. Getting too little sleep can make you susceptible to the common cold. The average adult should aim for at least 6 hours of sleep each night. It’s not always easy to get sleep, but there are a few things you can do. Turn the TV off about 30 minutes to an hour before bed, you should also put your cellphone and computer away so it doesn’t distract you from sleeping. You wanna make sure the room is dark, and this is something you wanna make a routine the same time every night. If you don’t have any problems getting 6+ hours of sleep every night, head on over to the next line.

Exercise.

I really dont need to go into detail here

Hydration and Diet.

Being dehydrated can affect your focus, physical performance, your mood, digestion and organ functions, such as the heart etc….
If these things aren’t functioning you’re prone to sickness. Eating whole plants like vegetables, fruits, nuts and healthy fats provide nutrients and antioxidants that can help fight pathogens and decrease inflammation.

One of the harder ways to build your immunity is managing stress, this may seem a little more complex than the previous mentioned because some things are beyond our control, but that is exactly what one must think, “its beyond my control”. You should not allow things you cannot change to consume you, I know it’s not easy but there are ways to do this.

Avoid people and things that do not allow you to be at peace.

These are very simple ways to build your immunity, I could go on forever but different people call for different circumstances.

In the next blog I will go on to discuss how food and building your immunity allows you to ascend!
